How did a local idea from Heraklion, Crete, evolve into a global platform supporting over 6,000 hospitality businesses?

From a Need to a Solution
The idea for Tourmie was born in 2018. At the time, Stelios Christakis was a property manager in Heraklion, Crete, looking for ways to offer guests a better, more personalized stay.
However, handling daily guest requests — from booking transfers to providing local tips — was becoming increasingly time-consuming. Existing solutions were designed for large hotel chains, too complex and costly for smaller businesses.
This gap in the market sparked the idea to create something simpler, smarter, and more accessible.
From a Digital Assistant to an All-in-One Platform
What started as a digital assistant has now evolved into a comprehensive guest experience platform.
With Tourmie, guests can access essential information like check-in details and Wi-Fi codes, and instantly book local services such as airport transfers or tours — all through a single, user-friendly interface.
