Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Personal Data is any information that identifies you, such as your name, identification number, address, email address, phone number, and contact information (indicative mention).

We collect, process, and store the personal data that you voluntarily provide to us in any way during your communication with us for the provision of our services, during the creation of an account, as well as during the use of our website and application. Indicatively, personal data that are requested are your name, email address, phone number, other contact information, address, date of birth, preferences regarding the reservation you are trying to make, the names of those traveling with you and payment information and if you wish to issue an invoice the necessary information for this purpose (company name, VAT number, headquarters). Bank and card information is not stored. In addition, we collect and process profile data that is created in our application, such as your username, password, collaborations, bookings you make, interests, preferences, comments and your answers in the application and in any surveys conducted. Additionally, we receive information that you provide to us through comments in the application or on social media, as well as your location if you choose to be located for the best provision of our services.

If you grant our mobile device applications permission to access your location information as it appears on your device, our applications can use Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. We reserve the right to use this location information to send you notifications and other content to your mobile device while you are moving around our locations, as well as with information and offers about products, services, or activities that we believe may be of interest to you, upon your explicit consent. We reserve the right to share this information with third parties, including our partners and service providers, in order to provide information, offers, and services that may be of interest to you. You can prevent or restrict the collection of location information by changing the settings in the application or the settings on your device.

We automatically collect general information from the computer, phone, or any other device you use when accessing our services, such as your IP address, browser, date and time of your visit, and language settings.

If you use a mobile device, we collect device-specific identifiers, settings and characteristics of the device, application errors, and other system activity.

We do not knowingly collect any information from any minor. Our website, services, and application are intended for adults and we will immediately delete the account and data of a minor if we become aware of the use of our website by a minor. In any case, we do not bear any responsibility for any damage arising from the use of our application by a minor, as the full and exclusive responsibility lies with the parent/guardian/trustee/custodian and any other person responsible for the care of the minor, as well as the minor himself/herself in cases where the law provides for it.

Third parties and our partners may provide us with personal data that you have provided to them, such as the details of your reservation for the best possible service. We may allow access to your data to authorized persons from us and our partners for the maintenance and repair of our information systems and equipment, as well as for the development of our application. In addition, your personal data may be shared with collaborating companies and service providers (e.g. advertising), which are selected by us on the basis of whether they provide adequate assurances for the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of your rights.

For any processing of personal data that is carried out by the Company or its partners, within the framework of the operation of the Tourmie application and its website, exclusively for the purposes and in the manner that the Company determines, the Data Controller is the private limited company with the name “TOURMIE P.C”.

Purposes of Processing and Data Security

We collect, process, and store your personal data only to enable us to provide the services you request from us in the best possible way. We use your personal data to communicate with you, respond to any requests, questions, concerns, or complaints you may have, and provide you with support for the processing of your reservation by sending you e-mails with reservation numbers, links, reminders, and information related to your reservation, to protect you from any illegal, abusive, or inappropriate use of our services, to inform you about recent offers and news, and about other products and services that we believe may be of interest to you, if we have your consent. We use the information you provide us to provide you with useful features through your account, such as recording and managing collaborations, reservations, any special offers, as well as viewing comments that have been made publicly in the application. Furthermore, with the data we collect, we monitor and analyze how you use our services, so that we can develop Tourmie and improve your experience when using our application. In summary, the purposes of processing the personal data you provide us with are to provide high-quality services, secure payment, personalized provision of our services, and prevention and detection of fraud.

We use your contact information to send you regular updates on the movements of your account in the application, on new features of the application, for exchanging information, requests, and comments, for sending reminders for continuation-completion of a reservation or collaboration, any security warnings, and to invite you to comment on your experience at Tourmie.

After using the application, you give visitors the opportunity to submit a comment regarding the service they used in order to inform other users of the application. This comment may appear on the information page/profile of the accommodation service provider (Hosts) and the service provider company providing accompanying services to the accommodation (Third-Parties) in the application, on social media or on other websites. It is at our discretion to adjust, reject, or delete comments that contain offensive, illegal, or immoral content. The comments are a form of response to a satisfaction survey and do not entail additional financial or commercial incentive.

Tourmie retains exclusive ownership of all rights to the application through which the service is provided, including visitor comments, which it may use for advertising, promotion, and may transmit to third parties. Therefore, you are not entitled to use them further in any way without our express and written consent.

We only process personal data that are absolutely necessary for the purposes of providing our services, collecting only the basic identification and communication details of you.

In our application, you can find links that refer to other websites and social media. Any personal data provided on these websites and social media is stored and processed by the third party and is subject to its own privacy policy, resulting in us not being responsible.

Respecting the personal nature of the data you provide us with, we are committed to the security of your personal data and will not disclose them, sell them, transmit them, or publish them to third parties that are not mentioned in this policy, without your consent, unless the disclosure to competent public, judicial, and police authorities is required by law. Personal data is used exclusively for the safe and good provision of our services by us and our authorized personnel.

For accommodation providers (Hosts) and service providers (Third-Parties)

In addition to the information mentioned above, in order to register your accommodation and services in our application, so that you can access our services, we collect your contact information, such as name, surname, date of birth (if required), business address and email address, phone numbers, as well as your VAT number. Furthermore, we record what products and services you offer. Hosts register and then connect to the application, enter a description of their accommodations/rooms and photos of them, as well as information about their customers. We process this information to manage reservations and we transmit it to the accompanying services providers (third-parties) that you have selected for a reservation/order. Similarly, accompanying services providers (third-parties) register and then connect to the application, enter a description of the services they provide, which is processed by us and transmitted to accommodation providers so that they can be selected, so that a reservation/order can follow, which is displayed through our application.

The information you provide us with is displayed to users of our application and is processed by us only for the purposes of providing our services and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Specifically, in the context of the contract between us, we process information that you provide us for the purposes of registration and account management, so that your accommodation or service can be registered, so that it is possible to make reservations through our application and to facilitate our communication with you by any means to complete your registration and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Furthermore, if you consent, we process information that you provide us for the purposes of sending newsletters, promotional campaigns, for research, improvement and development of our services, for technical support, for research and statistical purposes.

Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

Tourmie discloses your personal data to third parties only for the limited purposes described below. Specifically, personal data may be disclosed to visitors, accommodation providers (Hosts), and accompanying services providers (Third-Parties) that have registered in the application and with which a collaboration or/and reservation is sought to be made, in order to make its execution possible. Personal data that you disclose in a public profile within the framework of our application may be visible to other users of it.

In addition, personal data may be transferred to other service providers that we use for market research, customer support, improvement of our application, for advertising and promotion purposes, for the purposes of protection and prevention of any fraud, to statistical analysis companies and exclusively for the purposes of processing mentioned in this policy.

For the processing of payment details, collection thereof, as well as for the management of each transaction via credit/debit card, we use the Stripe platform. Each payment is made through this platform, which processes the payment details in accordance with its own privacy policy, which is available here. For this reason, as Tourmie, we do not store or use your payment details, the details of your bank card and your bank account in any way.

Personal data may be disclosed to tax and other competent public authorities, when it is necessary for the fulfillment of our tax obligations or in case of inspection by the competent authorities, as well as in case we are legally obliged to do so or it is necessary for the protection of our rights and those of our partners.

At Tourmie, we use cookies and other tracking technologies to facilitate your access to our services, for statistical purposes, and to tailor advertising and offers to the interests and needs of each visitor.
